Partners

Our partnership is formed by three different entities: Petrklíč help, z.s.(Czech Republic) which is the project applicant, Plataforma de Alternativas Solidarias y Sostenibles (PASOS) from Spain as partner 1 and CFCECAS (Italy) as partner 2. Together, we aimed to enhance mental health and emotional management among European youth.

PETRKLÍČ HELP Z.S.

Petrklíč help is a community-based, educational, creative and innovative non-profit organization operating since 2005. Our team has extensive experience in non-formal education, volunteering, youth development and ideas, cross-border and international cooperation, environmental issues and youth participation. We also have a dedicated support team offering advice on entrepreneurship, youth policy, personal development and ecology.

Petrklic Help runs 6 places located in different surrounding towns. Some are connected to healthy activities and community building:

  1. Teahouse: a creative and cultural center connected with a Castle Hill, in the border town, which is also our headquarters, where they carry out most of our regular local.
  2. Eco-farm PidiFarma: They developed a community gardening involved in natural building activities, harvesting, home-made productions, seasonal activities, organizing festivals, etc. They also use this space for providing them professional skills (ecology, renewables, sustainability, creative recycling, etc.) and personal development (mindfulness, sports, etc.).
  3. Community Center: facilitates the creation of communities related to social work, professional development and healthy lifestyles.
  4. Youth Information Center: where they participate in the Youth Council meetings, etc. They seek resources to support our youth members’ initiatives for social integration.
  5. Business Gate: operated, in cooperation with Karviná City and Silesian University School of Business and Administration, which aims to match the creative minds of young learners with the experience of entrepreneurs.
  6. Forest Kindergarten and School: connected to alternative schooling.

They also organize trainings for educators, facilitators and youth workers, and cooperate with other NGOs, in the region and abroad. They are involved in designing restructuring strategy in Moravian-Silesian Region for The Office of the Government of the Czech Republic. They are committed to Moravian-Silesian Employment Pact, being responsible for its programme as members of Executive Board. They are part of Strategic Plan of Social Inclusion in Ostrava Implementation process, consultancy provided to many entities.

Plataforma de Alternativas Solidarias y Sostenibles (PASOS)

PASOS is an NGO based in Polanco, a rural area in northern Spain, dedicated to improving the personal and professional lives and social inclusion of young people. They offer educational and recreational opportunities through training courses, workshops, events, and international exchanges. Their main areas of focus include:

  • Personal growth
  • Physical and mental health
  • Emotional care and education
  • Integration
  • Alternative education and methodologies
  • Gender issues
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Environmental care

PASOS aims to provide a platform for young people, including those at risk of marginalization, to explore their interests and improve their community. They support non-formal education to boost creativity, participation, healthy lifestyles, democracy, human rights, solidarity, tolerance, and environmental consciousness.

Staff members serve as role models and coaches, especially for those facing challenges in adulthood. Several staff members have specialized training in emotional management (EM) and have trained over 400 individuals through their programs.

CFCECAS

CFCECAS is an NGO opened in 2007, with a national and European reference, through the standards of Excellence practiced and good practice models developed in the field of social work projects, training programs and social services. The main purpose of CFCECAS is to invest in human resources development; design and delivery of social services in line with EU policies; organize transfer of experience and international cooperation for the promotion of good practices.

Their mission is to improve quality of life through the implementation of social projects for the local community, especially to disadvantaged groups. They also offer operational and financial support for social workers that work in the community services; develop institutional capacity of the local government; develop innovative solutions to the community problems; facilitate public-private partnerships; provide knowledge and skills for practitioners in social services and other fields; and organize seminars, workshops, consulting, research, trainings, campaigns, etc.

Areas of expertise: 
-Developing and providing training programs and evaluation of professional competencies for social service staff, youth workers, managers of public and private organizations, students in social work or persons who face limitations and need
support to integrate socially and professionally;

-Development and promotion of innovative services in support of youngsters experiencing social problems or are at risk of social exclusion;

-Developing innovative projects and support services for social integration and employment of vulnerable youngsters;

-Providing professional supervision and coaching of youth workers to work with vulnerable groups and managers;

-Raising awareness campaigns in social and environmental problems;

-Social analysis and development of appropriate measures and community services for social and economic development;

-Creating programs aimed at transferring knowledge and experience from various social fields and from different countries and cultural spaces for professional development and application of modern techniques of social intervention;

-Internship programs and training volunteers for the inclusion in youth;

-Social research combined with practical social action and development services.
